St Patricks Day in Southern Oregon

St. Patrick’s Day is Wednesday, March 17th! If you’re looking for things to do, check out all these local scenes:

- The Black Sheep in Ashland is offering a celebration of the Emerald Isle with Guinness on tap, Irish Stew, and their infamous corned beef & cabbage served all day. Minors are welcome until 11:00pm

- 4 Daughters Irish Pub in downtown Medford is offering an all-day event with traditional Irish food and drinks, live music with bagpipers, and much more! Minors are welcome until 10:00pm.

- Avalon Bar in Talent is offering live St. Patrick’s Day music with Crossroads at 8:00pm. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, they’ll concentrate on Irish ballads and tunes, which is one of their specialties. Event costs $10.

- Tease in Ashland is offering a night of live music with musician Robert Meade from 8:30pm to 11:00pm.

- Shenanigan’s Irish Pub promises the biggest St. Patty’s Day celebration in the Rogue Valley with live music from Tallboy and U2 Coverband and a chance to win a free trip to Ireland.

Looking for a family-friendly event? Try these venues.

- A Celtic Celebration “Pot O’ Gold” on Sunday, Mar 14 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. This event will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (2000 Oakwood Dr., Medford, OR, 97504). Come and enjoy the Rogue Valley Symphonic Band as they perform the music of Ireland and Scotland, including both traditional and contemporary works for everyone.

- Dublin’s Traditional Irish Cabaret will perform on Saturday, Mar 20 at 7:30pm at the Craterian Ginger Roger’s Theatre. Prepare for a delightful, rollicking evening of Irish comedy, song, and dance, performed by a star-studded cast direct from Dublin along with some of the best step dancers in the world. Don’t miss this bountiful Irish stew of light-hearted entertainment.
